COMMUNITY BENEFIT GRANT 2023 

FUNDING IS AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY BENEFIT PROJECTS IN THE OLD COMMUNITY COUNCIL AREAS OF LLANARTH FAWR COMMUNITY COUNCIL, LLANTILIO CROSSENNY COMMUNITY COUNCIL AND GROSMONT FAWR COMMUNITY COUNCIL 
AREAS AS THEY STOOD BEFORE 28/4/22
APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THIS YEARS GRANT ALLOCATION IN THE ABOVE AREAS – APPLICATIONS THAT ARE CLOSE TO THESE AREAS AND CAN PROVE THAT THEY BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF THIS AREA WILL BE CONSIDERED IF FUNDING IS AVAILABILE


APPLICATION FORMS WILL AVAILABLE FROM 26.05.2023 AND THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 21.07.2023


All completed hard copies, of all application forms must be sent to :-
Community Green Energy Advisory Group, C/O Pant Farm, Llanvetherine, Abergavenny, NP7 8RH.


We also require an E-mail copy to be sent to CGEAG01@gmail.com 

Receipt of an application will be acknowledged by email - this is not confirmation that the application is valid - it is up to the applicant to ensure that all requested information is provided by the closing date.
 
Applications will only be considered if they have been submitted in paper form, as requested above - the request for an email copy is for ease of administration only and will not on it's own, be considered a valid application.

Groups that have previously received funding are eligible to apply for further grants.

The grant committee may consider applications from groups near the border of the area of benefit, (the parishes of Llanarth Fawr, Llantilio Crossenny and Grosmont Fawr), subject to funding availability - priority will be given to the main areas of benefit.

To apply for a Community Benefit Grant you must qualify under the following criteria:-

You can apply if your organisation is a:
Voluntary or community organisation
Registered charity
Constituted group or club
Community interest company (CIC)
Social enterprise
Statutory body (including town, parish or community council)
Located within the above Community Council Areas.

We cannot accept applications from:
Individuals
Sole traders
Organisations that are aimed at generating profits primarily
for private distribution
Organisations based outside the UK
Applications made by one organisation on behalf of another
Applications by a grant making organisation

Funding for churches:
This will only be permitted for facilities of community benefit – i.e. toilets, kitchens, creation of community spaces where no such facilities exist in the communities.

Please ensure you meet the following criteria before applying:
•• You are applying for an amount between £250 and £15,000, for a project that will finish within about 12 months.
•• You have a UK bank account in your organisation’s name
•• You produce annual accounts, or set up your organisation less than 15 months ago and have not yet produced annual
accounts – if not let us know why

There is an expectation that your group will have raised some funding towards your project, from other sources.
We particularly welcome applications concerning renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
